Integrity in all we do.” RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- Acquire and manage the necessary resources including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel, to support information technology security goals and objectives and reduce overall organization risk.
- Advise senior management on risk levels and security posture.
- Advise Authorizing Official of changes affecting the organization’s cyber security posture.
- Collect and maintain data needed to meet system cyber security reporting requirements.
- Identify alternative information security strategies to address organizational security objectives.
- Oversee the information security training and awareness program.
- Participate in the development or modification of the computer environment cyber security program plans and requirements.
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network systems operations.
- Supervise protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered.
- Ensure that plans of actions and milestones or remediation plans are in place for vulnerabilities identified during risk assessment audits, inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- Knowledge of data backup recovery
- Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies and techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions.
- Knowledge of controls related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of data.
- Knowledge of laws, policies, procedures, or governance relevant to cyber security for critical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of current threat vectors
- Knowledge of client and server operating systems.
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:- Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
- Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
- Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
- Assisting in the development of new initiatives
