JOB DESCRIPTION

Watershed Security is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain critical enhancements for the Public Safety Systems (PSS) Program’s AIM/Remedy applications and related tools. This role involves full lifecycle software development, ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and align with strategic program objectives within an Agile environment.
 
This position is currently 100% remote and requires an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides enhancements to the AIM/Remedy applications, custom automated reports, integrates between the AIM and Remedy application, and AIM web interfaces as directed by the Sustainment Director 
  • Provide Remedy development and architecture expertise in the planning and development of additional Remedy modules and related third party tools
  • Enhance MRT for production deployment of online and offline field capabilities to access and update Remedy asset data, and automate the generation of the Sustainment Contractor’s Asset Data template
  • Perform upgrades of the underlying commercial software applications as requested, maintaining the customized functionality
  • Maintain a product backlog in concert with the Sustainment Support Project Manager and Technical leads, using an industry-standard Scrum tool (e.g. JIRA, ScrumDo)
  • Provide overall Configuration Management to the supported systems including source code and baseline management using an industry standard CM tool for source code management (e.g. Subversion, GIT)
  • Support the overall database design and architecture of supported systems, ensuring compliance and usage of standard data models, methodologies and schemas in a client/server, virtual machine, and cloud infrastructure environment
  • Create and maintain documentation and artifacts that support service management processes and a service delivery model that aligns with PSS Program objectives
  • Evaluate Enterprise ITSM Helix solutions (requirements and design), integrations and data to ensure adherence to business rules, standards, guidelines and best practices
  • Provide thorough documentation of all source code and other software products
  • Establish and follow comprehensive coding standards that encompass all aspects of code construction and best programming practices to include secure coding guidelines
  • Maintain source code in a government provided software version control system
  • Establish and follow processes for code promotion between environments (development, quality assurance, and production) and application testing using industry best practices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Eight (8) years of experience, to include Software Design, Development, and Test and Evaluation. 
  • IAT Level 2 certification. 
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance or higher,
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote team members.
  • Strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong focus on BMC Remedy or similar ITSM platforms.
  • Expertise in developing enhancements, integrations, and custom reports. 
  • Proficiency with Agile and Scrum methodologies and industry-standard development tools (e.g., JIRA, GIT/Subversion). 
  • Solid understanding of database design, architecture, and Configuration Management (CM). 
  • Experience with DoD security policies, secure coding practices, and ensuring compliance in development and server administration. 
  • Work hours 8am -4.30pm Monday - Friday
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with Enterprise ITSM Helix solutions is a plus.
PAY RANGE

Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year.   The proposed salary range for this position is: $120,000 - $150,000 USD
